Eric Ravilious: The Story Of High Street

These prints of the High Street are from St. Judes (details below). It's nice to know I'm not the only one with a shop front obsession. It's given me inspiration for some new prints. More news soon. Here's what St. Judes say about the work :-
"Seventy years ago Country Life Books published High Street, a children's book of shops, featuring twenty-four exquisite lithographs by the English artist Eric Ravilious (1903-1942). Although the book was not a limited edition, the destruction of the lithographic plates during the Blitz meant that only 2000 copies were ever printed. Subsequently High Street has become one of the most highly-prized artist's books of its time.:

these are gorgeous! looking forward to seeing what you come up with. I have had my tea towels printed with the Aussie Toile design, will post some pics soon. Going to wait til the new year to do the rest of the range.
I may be over in Feb,thinking about a course, a bit of a change of direction, not sure yet!
