CHINA DESIGN NOW AT THE V&A

I visited this exhibition to see some inspiration. There were some beautiful wood block prints, in the first sections - And some great artists books. Unfortuately no photography allowed though, so here's all the hand outs and some of my motifs.

Here are some pull outs from recent magazines of this season's wallpaper collections.

I really like the 'Parasols' wallpaper from the tamarisk collection at Cole & Son.
The image below isn't a wallpaper but it is lovely illustration in the guardian weekend magazine by Alice Stevenson.

FIGS FANTASTIC ! again from Cole & Son. I really like the different textures created in the leaf motif. Also interesting use of drop shadow to create depth and lovely burnt autumnal colours, this is a great an all rounder design.
